Greg has worked on over 250 stage, film and television productions over the last 32 years including many of Jack Hibberd's plays, and this muscular rendition of Stretch is a personal favourite Recently Greg has directed The Complete Works of William Shakespeare...Abridged for a national tour of Australia, Verdis' opera Rigoletto for the Melbourne Opera Company, Disney on Dry Ice for the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Squizzy, a cabaret by Barry Dickins and The Lover, an adaptation of the Duras novel. Greg was also the Australian and UK director of Puppetry of the Penis. Other favourites include the direction of Jabberwocky at the Botanical Gardens in Sydney, Barry Dickins' Dame Joan Green, Barry Oakley's Scanlan and Anton Chekov's Smoking is a Health Hazard which toured nationally with Max Gillies. As designer, Greg has many credits to his name. He has worked most recently on a number of theatre productions at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne; Madame Butterfly, The Magic Flute and The Pearl Fishers. Others include: Daniel Lillford's Slow Trains and Dirty Towns and Caught by Peter Mathers, both at La Mama. It is not uncommon for Greg to design the plays he directs. Greg completed a four-set design for The Great Exposition, commissioned for the Bicentennial Year and staged at the Museum of Victoria. Other designs include: The Royal Commission into the Australian Economy, Let The Blood Run Free, Bats, as well as commercial productions for Hocking and Woods. Lighting design is another area of Greg's expertise. In addition to a number of the above- mentioned plays, Greg designed the lighting for Woyzchek at the CUB site, Up and Under for the Hull Truck Company, as well as for a range of companies and venues including the Universal, La Mama, Gasworks, the Courthouse, and with Barry Kosky for his Gilgul productions. Greg's acting career extends to playing the voice of Watkin Wombat in the movie The Magic Pudding and additionally, he spent 4 years in the Children's drama series Ship to Shore, playing the role of 'Hermes Endakis'. This made him the hero of the younger set and the show has been sold to 57 countries. Greg also directed The Dean & Jerry Show, a step back in time to the glitz and glamour of the 1950's Hollywood and Las Vegas style cabaret show, with the greatest comedy team of all time - Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. This completed touring in May 2007.
